Grief can be one of the most difficult experiences a person will ever face. It can affect our emotions, thoughts, relationships, physical wellbeing, and sense of identity. There is no right way to grieve and no set timeline for healing. At times, grief can feel overwhelming, confusing, isolating, or exhausting, bringing unexpected emotions long after a loss has occurred.
As your counsellor, I provide a compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore your grief at your own pace and feel supported through the challenges it brings.
Grief is deeply personal, and no two people experience it in the same way. While grief is often associated with the death of a loved one, it can also arise from the loss of a pet, relationship, career, health, identity, or the future you had imagined for yourself.
Grief is not linear; it often comes in waves, with moments of sadness, anger, guilt, confusion, and longing appearing when we least expect them. Understanding this can help reduce self-judgement and create space for healing to unfold in its own time.
While grief is something we move through, it is not something we need to face alone. Having the right support can make a meaningful difference, providing a place to be heard, understood, and supported as you navigate life after loss.
If you are struggling with grief, I invite you to book a session with me. Together, we can honour your loss, understand your experience, and find a way forward that feels meaningful and manageable for you.
Grief does not need to be fixed; it needs to be witnessed, understood, and carried with support.
